Stability: Stable in neutral, weakly acidic and weakly alkaline media, rapidly hydrolysed to the hydroxy-derivate in strong acids and alkalis, soil dt50 is 100 days.
Toxicity: Oral ld50 (rat): 3090 mg/kg. Dermal ld50 (rabbit) >7, 500 mg/kg. Inhatation LC50: (4h) 5.2 mg/l.
Usage: Atrazine is a good herbicide for sweet corn, it can be used in after-bud and PRO-bud. Atrazine is also applied in the controlling of annual and two years broadleaf weeds in kaoliang, cane, forest and meadow.
